Katterhagen Garners All-Academic Honor From USTFCCCA

NEW ORLEANS - The U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) announced the Division III women's Scholar Athletes of the Year and the All-Academic honorees on Wednesday, and Washington and Lee rising sophomore Jillian Katterhagen (The Woodlands, Texas/The Woodlands) earned All-Academic laurels.

Katterhagen was one of 349 student-athletes to achieve All-Academic status. After an extremely successful first season, she claimed the top spot in the pole vault at the ODAC Outdoor Track & Field Championships on April 21 with a height of 3.35m. It marked her second ODAC individual championship as she also took the top spot in the pole vault (2.93m) at the Indoor Track & Field Championships on Feb. 24.

To qualify for the USTFCCCA All-Academic Track and Field Team, the student-athlete must have compiled a cumulative grade-point average of 3.30 and have met either of the following athletic standards: a student-athlete must have competed in an NCAA Indoor or Outdoor Championship or finished the regular season ranked in the national top 35 in an individual event or ranked in the national top 25 (collective listing) in a relay event on the official NCAA POP list provided by TFRRS.org.

Laura Sigmund of Wartburg was the Indoor Track Scholar Athlete of the Year, Catherine Street of Linfield was the Indoor Field Scholar Athlete of the Year, Alana Enabnit of Wartburg was the Outdoor Track Scholar Athlete of the Year and Aubree Jones of Mount Union was the Outdoor Field Scholar Athlete of the Year.
