BLACKSBURG, Va. – Washington and Lee first-year Annelise Madison (Roca, Neb./Norris) set a new school record in the 800m at the Virginia Tech Last Chance meet on Saturday afternoon.
The first-year runner recorded a time of 2:19.97 in the 800m, eclipsing the old mark of 2:20.46 set by Elizabeth Webb '09 in 2008. While a new school mark, the time fell short of the NCAA qualifying standards and thus concludes W&L's indoor season.
The Generals' track and field teams return to action on Mar. 19, when they take part in the Roanoke Invitational.
