Numerous W&L Students Earn Fall Scholar-Athlete Awards
Washington and Lee Director of Athletics Jan Hathorn has announced that a record 224 students earned Scholar-Athlete awards during the recently completed fall term. The students are all members of W&L athletic teams and achieved a grade-point average (GPA) of at least 3.50. The total contains 34 more athletes than any previous fall term and is 14 more than in any previous winter term.

Kirkland and Meighan Take Second Place at ITA Small College Championships
Seniors Patricia Kirkland (Charleston, S.C. / Ashley Hall) and Sonja Meighan (McLean, Va. / Flint Hill) teamed up to take second-place in the doubles competition at the USTA/ITA National Small College Championships on Friday evening at the Palmetto Tennis Center in Sumter, S.C.

Kirkland and Meighan Advance to Championship Match at the USTA/ITA National Small College Championships
The Washington and Lee team of seniors Patricia Kirkland (Charleston, S.C. / Ashley Hall) and Sonja Meighan (Mclean, Va. / Flint Hill) have advanced to the championship match of the Division III doubles bracket at the 2014 USTA/ITA National Small College Championships held at the Palmetto Tennis Center in Sumter, S.C. on Thursday afternoon.

The Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) announced its 2014 All-Academic Teams and Scholar-Athletes recently and Washington and Lee was well represented.
