W&L Women's Tennis Downs Roanoke, 5-0
ASHLAND, Va. – The Washington and Lee women's tennis team downed Roanoke, 5-0, in the second round of ODAC action on Saturday afternoon on the campus of Randolph-Macon.
The Generals began the day strong, sweeping in doubles play, 3-0.
W&L then went on to take claim two wins in singles to solidify the win over the Maroons. First-year Meghan Buell (New Albany, Ohio/New Albany) at No. 4 singles and first-year Allison Hupalo (Weston, Mass./Weston) at No. 5 singles were the two victors, allowing the Generals to walk away with the win by decision.
W&L returns to the court on Sunday to compete in the finals of the ODAC Tournament, facing either Hollins or Bridgewater.
