W&L Women's Tennis Defeats Hollins, 8-1
ROANOKE, Va. – The eighth-ranked Washington and Lee women's tennis team defeated Hollins, 8-1, on Saturday afternoon at the Batten Tennis Center.
The Generals are now 9-2 on the season and 6-0 in conference action.
W&L began the match with a perfect 3-0 mark in doubles play, and continued its dominance with victories at the No. 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6 singles positions.
First-years Meghan Buell (New Albany, Ohio/New Albany) and Lindsey Burke (Hilton Head, S.C./Hilton Head Island), sophomore Cameron Dorsey (Pepper Pike, Ohio/Hathaway Brown) and senior Jen Snyder (Highland Heights, Ohio/Gilmour Academy) each posted 2-0 performances on the day.
The Generals return to action on Thursday when they host Randolph and Lynchburg, and face Roanoke on the road.
