LEXINGTON, Va. – The Washington and Lee women's tennis team continued its ODAC weekend with a 5-0 victory over Virginia Wesleyan on Friday evening at the Duchossois Tennis Center.
W&L played the Marlins to decision because of the lack of courts due to weather conditions. Two Generals did claim wins in both singles and doubles play. Junior Sallie Griffin (Warrenton, Va./Highland School) and sophomore Cameron Dorsey (Pepper Pike, Ohio/Hathaway Brown) teamed up at No. 1 doubles to defeat the Marlins' duo of Cay Gee and Katelynn Duncan, 8-0.
At No. 1 singles, Griffin posted a 6-1, 6-1 win over Gee, and Dorsey was victorious at the No. 2 spot, beating out Duncan, 6-0, 6-0.
The Generals continue their ODAC-heavy weekend when they host Emory & Henry on Sunday 10:00 am.
