W&L Women's Swimming Tops Randolph, 154-39

LEXINGTON, Va. – The Washington and Lee women's swimming team defeated Randolph, 154-39, on Saturday afternoon at the W&L Natatorium.

Highlights From the Meet:

  • The Generals claimed first-place in all 13 of the events, while also placing second or third in seven of the events.
  • Junior Elle Chancey (Tampa, Fla. / Berkeley Preparatory School), sophomore Emily Hageboeck (Charleston, W. Va. / George Washington) and sophomore Ashley Johnston (Gainesville, Ga. / North Hall) led the way for W&L with two first-place finishes each. Chancey took first in the 200-yard free (1:56.68) and 100-yard free (53.43), while Hageboeck claimed the 100-yard breast (1:06.61) and 200-yard breast (2:22.77). Johnston took the top spot in the 100-yard back (1:00.89) and 200-yard back (2:15.32).
  • Johnston and Hageboeck also swam on the winning 200-yard medley relay (1:49.99), while Chancey was part of the 200-yard free relay that claimed first with a time of 1:40.26.
  • With today's victory the Blue and White is now 6-1 in dual meets this season.
