Lynchburg Downs W&L Women's Soccer, 1-0

LYNCHBURG, Va. -- The Washington and Lee soccer team fell, 1-0, to ODAC-rival Lynchburg on Friday evening.

LC's (10-2, 6-0 ODAC) Betsy Kwiatkowski broke a scoreless tie at the 58:03 mark to propel the Hornets to victory over W&L (6-4, 4-2 ODAC).
 
The Hornets outshot the Generals, 29-4, and forced junior goalkeeper Emily Leary (Cincinnati, Ohio/Kings) into making nine saves in a losing effort.
 
LC also held a 4-2 advantage in corner kicks and limited W&L to just a single shot on goal by sophomore defender Alex Todd (New Orleans, La./Isidore Newman School).
 
Jackie Bader played all 90:00 in goal for Lynchburg and made one save.
 
W&L returns to action on Wednesday when it hosts Virginia Wesleyan at 4:00 pm.
