W&L Women's Soccer To Host NCAA First and Second Round Games
LEXINGTON, Va. – The National Collegiate Athletic
Association (NCAA) announced its 2009 Division III Women’s
Soccer Tournament field on Monday morning and Washington and Lee
has been selected to host first and second round contests this
weekend at Watt Field.
Winners of the Old Dominion Athletic Conference Tournament, the
Generals (16-1-3) will face USA South Athletic Conference champions
Christopher Newport (12-7-3) on Saturday at 11:00 am. That match
will be followed by Landmark Conference champion Catholic (17-2-1)
taking on at-large bid recipient and ODAC conference representative
Lynchburg (14-3-3) at 1:30 pm.
The winners of Saturday’s games will face each other in a
second-round match on Sunday at 1:00 pm, which will also be played
at Watt Field.
Ticket prices for each game will be $6 for adults, $3 for students and senior citizens and $2 for kids 12 and under.
