W&L's Daigle Collects Weekly ODAC Honor

SALEM, Va. – Washington and Lee first-year Ainsley Daigle (Lafayette, La./Episcopal School of Acadiana) earned the Old Dominion Athletic Conference Athlete of the Week honor for women’s soccer for the week ending September 19.

Daigle notched four goals to help lead the Washington and Lee women’s soccer team to two ODAC victories over the week. She recorded her first collegiate goal in a 10-0 victory over Sweet Briar on Wednesday, while notching three goals in a 4-1 victory over ODAC-foe Virginia Wesleyan on Saturday.

Daigle has played in all four contests for the Generals this season, while starting in two. She currently leads the team with nine points (4g, 1a). The Generals are now 4-0 on the season, their best start since the 2006 campaign.

The women’s soccer team returns to action tomorrow as they travel to Hollins for a 4:30 pm contest.
