Lawson and Westfal Highlight Major Award Winners at W&L
Washington and Lee University held its annual Athletic Awards Ceremony on Tuesday, May 15 at Lee Chapel. Headlining the award winners were senior soccer player Kat Lawson (White Post, Va./Clarke County) and senior football player Charlie Westfal (New Canaan, Conn./New Canaan), who were selected as the “Pres” Brown Outstanding Senior Female and Male Athletes of the Year as voted on by members of the department.
W&L's Benedetti Named ODAC Women's Lax Player of the Year
Six members of the Washington and Lee women’s lacrosse team have received All-Old Dominion Athletic Conference honors, including senior midfielder Christina Benedetti (Derwood, Md./Academy of the Holy Cross) being selected as the Player of the Year, as the league announced the all-conference teams on Tuesday.

Mary Washington scored the first nine goals of the second half to produce a 16-8 victory over Washington and Lee in the first round of the NCAA Division III Women’s Lacrosse Tournament on Wednesday afternoon at the Battleground Athletic Complex.
W&L Women's Lacrosse Defeats Roanoke, 20-5, for ODAC Championship
The 15th-ranked Washington and Lee women’s lacrosse team was named the 2012 ODAC Champion after defeating Roanoke, 20-5, on Sunday afternoon at Watt Field in the ODAC Tournament Championship game.
