    The second-ranked Washington and Lee women’s lacrosse team scored the first 13 goals of the game en route to claiming a 16-4 victory over Bridgewater in ODAC action on Wednesday afternoon at Watt Field.
  • Numerous W&L Students Earn Winter Scholar-Athlete Awards

    Washington and Lee Director of Athletics Jan Hathorn has announced that 233 students earned Scholar-Athlete awards during the recently completed winter term. The students are all members of W&L athletic teams and achieved a grade-point average (GPA) of at least 3.500.

    The Old Dominion Athletic Conference announced that Washington and Lee sophomore attacker Haley Tucker (Manakin-Sabot, Va. / St. Catherine’s) and sophomore Danny Devereux (Mount Prospect, Ill. / Prospect) have been named the ODAC Women’s Lacrosse and Baseball Pitcher of the Week for the week ending April 23.

    The Generalssports.com Athlete of the Week is senior women's lacrosse player Olivia Sisson. She scored five goals last week in two games, and helped the Generals' defense hold its opponents to five combined goals.

    The Old Dominion Athletic Conference announced that Washington and Lee senior Brooke Donnelly (Kennesaw, Ga. / Marietta) has been named the Women’s Tennis Player of the Week, junior midfielder Jess Castelo (Red Bank, N.J. / Lawrenceville) is the Women’s Lacrosse Player of the Week and first-year Robert Quinilty (Cypress, Texas / Houston Christian) is the Men’s Golf Player of the Week for the week ending March 19.

    The Intercollegiate Women’s Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) released its weekly coaches poll on Monday and Washington and Lee moved up to the fourth spot, its highest ranking in program history in the Division III poll.

    Washington and Lee Director of Athletics Jan Hathorn has announced that a record 242 students earned Scholar-Athlete awards during the recently completed fall term. The students are all members of W&L athletic teams and achieved a grade-point average (GPA) of at least 3.50. The prior record for scholar-athletes in the fall or winter term was 224 set during the fall of 2014.
