INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – The National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) announced its 2014 Division III Women's Lacrosse Tournament field on Sunday evening and the Washington and Lee women's lacrosse team will host Denison for second-round action.
Winners of the Old Dominion Athletic Conference, W&L will face the Big Red from the North Coast Athletic Conference (NCAC), with the game set for Saturday, May 10. The game's start time is yet to be determined.
The Generals are currently holding a 16-2 overall record and are ranked 12th in the most recent edition of the IWLCA Top 20 National Poll. W&L is making its 14th trip to the NCAA Tournament after winning an ODAC-best 15th conference title.
Denison has notched a 13-4 record after defeating Wittenberg, 16-12, in the NCAC Championship. The Big Red have earned the league's automatic berth into the tournament, which will mark DU's 16th appearance in the national tournament.
The winner of Saturday's game will advance to regional play on Saturday and Sunday, May 17-18.
