W&L Women's Lacrosse Recognized by IWLCA
GRAND LAKE, Colo. – The Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) released its 2013 Academic Squads recently and the Washington and Lee women's lacrosse team was among the schools recognized.
The Generals were one of 86 NCAA Division III programs to earn Academic Squad accolades. To qualify, teams must have achieved a cumulative team grade point average of 3.0 or above for the 2012-13 academic year. Other Old Dominion Athletic Conference teams to make the list included Guilford, Randolph, Shenandoah, and Virginia Wesleyan. To see a full listing of teams honored, click here.
W&L ended its 2013 campaign with a 10-10 overall record after falling to York (Pa.), 13-6, in NCAA Division III first round action. The Generals also claimed the program's 14th ODAC Championship this spring.
