The Virginia Sports Information Directors (VaSID) has released its 2012 All-State College Division Women’s Lacrosse selections and four Washington and Lee athletes were chosen for first and second team honors.

Lawson and Westfal Highlight Major Award Winners at W&L
Washington and Lee University held its annual Athletic Awards Ceremony on Tuesday, May 15 at Lee Chapel. Headlining the award winners were senior soccer player Kat Lawson (White Post, Va./Clarke County) and senior football player Charlie Westfal (New Canaan, Conn./New Canaan), who were selected as the “Pres” Brown Outstanding Senior Female and Male Athletes of the Year as voted on by members of the department.

Washington and Lee Director of Athletics Jan Hathorn has announced that 185 students earned Scholar-Athlete awards during the recently completed winter term. The students are all members of W&L athletic teams and achieved a grade-point average (GPA) of at least 3.500.
