W&L's Farrar Named ODAC Women's Lax Player of the Week
LEXINGTON, Va. – Washington and Lee junior goalkeeper
Katharine Farrar (Lexington, Va./Episcopal) has been named the Old
Dominion Athletic Conference Women’s Lacrosse Player of the
Week for the week ending April 4.
Farrar led the 17th-ranked Generals to a 3-0 week, defeating
Roanoke College (9-7), Hollins University (22-2) and Lynchburg
College (11-5). In a total of 150 minutes over the three games, she
allowed 12 goals (4.00 GAA), while registering 20 saves (.625 Sv%),
including 10 saves against Roanoke and nine saves against
Lynchburg.
This season, Farrar has started 11 of the Generals’ 12
contests, notching a 7-4 record. She has posted a .467 save
percentage (78 saves) and 9.23 goals-against average (89 GA) in
578:20 minutes of play.
The W&L women’s lacrosse team is now 8-3 on the season,
including a perfect 6-0 in ODAC competition. The Generals return to
action on Wednesday as they host 19th-ranked Catholic University at
4:00 pm.
