Washington and Lee University held its annual Athletic Awards Ceremony on Tuesday, May 15 at Lee Chapel. Headlining the award winners were senior soccer player Kat Lawson (White Post, Va./Clarke County) and senior football player Charlie Westfal (New Canaan, Conn./New Canaan), who were selected as the “Pres” Brown Outstanding Senior Female and Male Athletes of the Year as voted on by members of the department.

The Old Dominion Athletic Conference has announced that Washington and Lee University has claimed the Dan Wooldridge Overall Sports Champion Cup for the ninth-straight year.

Washington and Lee Director of Athletics Jan Hathorn has announced that 185 students earned Scholar-Athlete awards during the recently completed winter term. The students are all members of W&L athletic teams and achieved a grade-point average (GPA) of at least 3.500.

The Washington and Lee women's golf team was in action on Monday in the first day of competition at the Piedmont Spring Invitational held at The Orchard Golf & Country Club in Clarkesville, Ga.

The Washington and Lee women’s golf program officially began play on Monday and Tuesday as it competed in the Taylor Made Adidas Intercollegiate hosted by Ohio Wesleyan at the Cotton Dike Course in Dataw Island, S.C.
