W&L's Freed Sits in a Tie For 46th at NCAA's After Day Three

HOUSTON, Texas – Washington and Lee junior Liza Freed (Alexandria, Va. / St. Stephen's & St. Agnes) sits in a tie for 46th out out of 116 golfers after three days of competition at the NCAA Division III Championship held at the Bay Oaks Country Club.

Freed posted an 80 in Thursday's third round for a total of 84-78-80—242 (+26).

Bridgewater's Christina Herbert and Nikki Isaacson of Rhodes are the individual leaders, as each has posted a +3 score of 219.

Top-ranked George Fox took over the team lead on Thursday, posting a 297 for a three-day total of 303-303-297—903 (+39).  Third-ranked Rhodes is four strokes back.

Action continues on Friday with the final round from Bay Oaks.  Freed will tee off the back nine starting at 9:35 am central time.
