Freed Tied for 23rd Through Two Rounds at NCAA's

HOUSTON, Texas — Washington and Lee sophomore Liza Freed (Alexandria, Va./St. Stephen's & St. Agnes) shot a 77 in round two on Wednesday, and is tied for 23rd out of 109 competitors at the NCAA Division III Women's Golf Championship at Bay Oaks Country Club.

Freed has a two-day total of 79-77—156 (+12) and is 16 shots back from the individual leader, Macy Hubbard of Wittenberg. Hubbard shot a -1 score of 71 on Wednesday and has a two-day total of 69-71—143 (-4).

Freed birdied the par-4 second and was three-over on the front nine. She recorded a par on seven of the final nine holes to register her 18-hole score of 77 on the par 72 course.

The championship continues on Thursday with the third round. Freed tees off on hole 10 at 1:15 pm central time.
