HARRISONBURG, Va. – The Washington and Lee women's golf team posted a score of 364 on Monday to finish third out of three teams at the Bridgewater Fall Invitational at the Lakeview Golf Course.
Randolph-Macon finished with a 354-341—695 to take the team title, while Yellow Jacket Olivia Bowling took the individual title over Hollins' Elizabeth Cheng by winning a playoff hole. Bowling shot 81-74—155 (+11) and Cheng shot 75-80—155 (+11).
Bridgewater took second place with a 373-358—731 and the Generals finished third with a 368-364—732.
Sophomore Rachael Wright (Roanoke, Va. / North Cross) was the Generals' top finisher in the event, placing third overall out of 21 golfers with an 83-79—162.
Sophomore Sara Moir (Roanoke, Va. / Hidden Valley) carded an 87-82—169 to tie for sixth, while sophomore Nicole Kasica (Greensboro, N.C. / Northern Guilford) finished 18th with a 95-104—199. First-year Katelyn Degnan (Saint Petersburg, Fla. / Canterbury School) finished with a 103-99—202 to place 19th overall.
Washington and Lee has now completed the fall portion of its schedule.
