LEXINGTON, Va. – The Washington and Lee women's golf team was in action on Monday, hosting the Generals Invitational at the Lexington Golf & Country Club.
The Generals carded an opening round score of 390 to rank fourth out of five teams in the tournament. Methodist University is the team leader after shooting a score of 321.
Methodist's Kelsie Carralero and Randolph-Macon's Olivia Bowling are tied for the individual lead after each carded a +4 score of 76.
Washington and Lee is led by sophomore Rachael Wright (Roanoke, Va. / North Cross), who is tied for 21st overall with a 91. Sophomore Sara Moir (Roanoke, Va. / Hidden Valley) carded a 92 and is in 23rd-place, while sophomore Nicole Kasica (Greensboro, N.C. / Northern Guilford) posted a 102 to rank 30th. First-year Katelyn Degnan (Saint Petersburg, Fla. / Canterbury School) is tied for 31st with a 105.
Action continues on Tuesday with the final round beginning at 9:00 am.
