W&L Women's Golf Hosts the Generals Invitational

LEXINGTON, Va. – The Washington and Lee women's golf team carded an opening round 374 and ranks third out of three teams as they hosted the Generals Invitational held at the Lexington Golf & Country Club on Monday.

Hollins University leads the team scoring with a 351, followed by Randolph-Macon (372) and the Generals (374).  Individually, Hollins' Elizabeth Cheng leads the way with a four-over par score of 76.

W&L is paced by first-year Sara Moir (Roanoke, Va./Hidden Valley), who is in second-place following an opening round score of 82.  First-year Rachael Wright (Roanoke, Va./North Cross) is in fifth-place after posting an 87, while first-year Lydia Barit (Paget, Bermuda/Middlesex School) carded a 102 and is in 16th-place.

First-year Nicole Kasica (Greensboro, N.C./Northern Guilford) and sophomore Elise Petracca (Manhasset, N.Y./Loomis Chaffee) shot 103 and 109, respectively, to round out the Generals in the field.

Action continues with the final round on Tuesday beginning at 9:00 am.
