Pamela Findlay will be in her fifth year as an assistant women's basketball coach at Washington and Lee University in the 2016-17 season. Her first season resulted in the Generals finished 9-16 overall and advancing to the quarterfinals of the ODAC Tournament. The team was picked to finished last (12th) in the ODAC Preseason Poll before claiming the No. 8 seed in the tournament.
During her second season, the Generals finished the year with a 6-19 overall record and a 4-12 mark in ODAC play. W&L traveled to Roanoke for the ODAC Tournament First Round, but fell to the Maroons, 61-44.
In her third year, W&L recorded a 16-10 overall record and an 8-8 mark in conference action. The Blue and White traveled to Salem for the quarterfinals of the ODAC Tournament, but loss to Lynchburg, 55-53. Findlay helped guide Jackie Clifford '17 to Second Team All-ODAC honors.
The Generals finished the 2015-16 campaign with a 17-10 overall record and an 11-5 mark in ODAC play. W&L advanced to the semifinals of the ODAC Tournament as the fourth-seed, where it fell to eventual conference champion, Lynchburg, 71-57. Findlay mentored Clifford to Second Team All-ODAC accolades and Ailyn Kelly '18 to Third Team All-ODAC laurels.
Findlay joined the W&L staff after holding a variety of positions at the George Washington Masonic National Memorial in Alexandria, Va. Prior to that experience, she was a graduate assistant women’s basketball coach at Bemidji State in Minnesota for two years, earning a master of science in sports studies in 2011.
Findlay is a 2008 graduate of the United States Air Force Academy, where she was a four-year letterwinner and a team captain for the basketball team as a senior. A four-time Mountain West Conference Scholar-Athlete and two-time CoSIDA Academic All-District honoree, she ranks 16th on the school’s all-time scoring list with 955 points. Findlay earned Honorable Mention All-Mountain West Conference honors as a senior when she averaged 10.7 points per game.
