    The Washington and Lee Department of Athletics held its annual athletics award ceremony at Lee Chapel on Tuesday evening, honoring student-athletes and administrators who have made the 2012-13 school year as successful as any in recent memory.
  • W&L Claims the 2013 ODAC Overall Sports Champion Cup

    For the 11th-consecutive year, Washington and Lee University has claimed the Dan Wooldridge Overall Sports Champion Cup, as announced by the Old Dominion Athletic Conference on Friday. The Generals claimed both the Women’s Commissioner’s Cup and the Men’s Commissioner’s Cup on their way to the overall title.
  • Numerous W&L Students Earn Winter Term Scholar-Athlete Awards

    Washington and Lee Director of Athletics Jan Hathorn has announced that 179 students earned Scholar-Athlete awards during the recently completed winter term. The students are all members of W&L athletic teams and achieved a grade-point average (GPA) of at least 3.500.

    Senior forward Katy Wilson (Chattanooga, Tenn./Baylor) scored the 1,000th point of her career for the eighth-seeded Washington and Lee women’s basketball team, but top-seeded Eastern Mennonite held on for a 68-58 victory in the quarterfinals of the ODAC Tournament on Thursday at the Salem Civic Center.
