W&L's Meg Ingram Earns ODAC Player of the Week Honor

FOREST, VA. – Senior guard Meg Ingram has earned the ODAC Women's Basketball Player of the Week honor for the week ending January 1, as announced by the conference on Monday.

In a 51-50 win over Christopher Newport on December 19, Ingram made two free throws in the final nine seconds of regulation to push the Generals to the one point win. She dished out a season-high five assists to go with 14 points including a 5-for-6 performance from the foul line. 

In a 72-58 loss to Ferrum on Friday, Ingram netted a season-high 23 points, including a 5-for-11 showing from behind the arc. The five made three-pointers are the most for a General in a single game this season, this being Ingram's second time doing so.

Ingram is posting 11.9 points per game with a 34.6 percent mark from behind the arc (18-52). Her 18 made three pointers sit second on the ODAC statistical leaderboards. 

W&L is 3-5 in the season, and 1-2 in league play. The Generals will travel to Virginia Wesleyan on January 3 for a conference match-up. Tip-off is set for 7:00pm.
