Free Admission to Women's Basketball Game at VWC with Food Donation

LEXINGTON, Va. – The Virginia Wesleyan cheerleaders will host a canned food drive on Tuesday, Jan. 25 as VWC takes on the W&L women's basketball team at the Jane P. Batten Student Center at 7:00 pm.

All fans making a non-perishable food donation will receive free admission to the contest. The Extreme Food Drive is part of a community effort to support ABC's popular television show Extreme Makeover: Home Edition, which will be constructing a house for a deserving family in the Hampton Roads region.  All food collected at the game will be donated, with a goal to collect more than 153 tons of non-perishable food items from the community. Suggested food items include canned goods, pasta and peanut butter.

Any W&L community member attending the game is encouraged to bring an item to donate.
