W&L's Wilson Recognized as ODAC Player of the Week

FOREST, Va. -- Washington and Lee sophomore forward Katy Wilson (Chattanooga, Tenn./Baylor) was tabbed as the ODAC Women's Basketball Player of the Week for the week ending January 2.

Wilson helped lead the Generals to a 64-52 victory over Apprentice School on Dec. 30. She led all scorers with 16 points, going a perfect 8-for-8 from the free throw line. She also posted a game-high nine rebounds, while adding four assists and one steal.

On the season, Wilson leads the Generals in free throw shooting percentage at 86.2 percent (25-29) and rebounds (55), while registering third in scoring with an average of 10.7 points per game.

The Generals are currently 5-2 on the season and will host three ODAC matchups against Virginia Wesleyan, Roanoke and Bridgewater this week.
