W&L Women's Hoops to Play CNU in NCAA Tournament

LEXINGTON, Va. – The National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) announced its 2010 Division III Women’s Basketball Tournament field on Monday morning and Washington and Lee has been selected to play Christopher Newport in a first round game in Newport News, Va.

Winners of the Old Dominion Athletic Conference Tournament, the Generals (18-9) will face USA South Athletic Conference champions Christopher Newport (28-0) on Friday at CNU’s Freeman Center. Fellow ODAC school Roanoke (23-3) will also travel to Christopher Newport, where it will take on Centennial Conference champions McDaniel (20-6).

The winners of Friday’s games will face each other in a second-round game on Saturday, which will also be played at the Freeman Center.
