W&L Riding Competes at Sweet Briar IHSA Event

AMHERST, Va. -- The Washington and Lee riding team was in action on Saturday afternoon, taking third place out of 11 teams at the Sweet Briar IHSA Invitational.

The Generals were led by senior Tamara Morse (Bristow, Va./Brentsville) and first-year Sarah Ward (Dayton, Va./Turner Ashby), who each won a class at the event.  Morse finished first in the open flat, while Ward won the walk-trot-canter.  Morse also added a third-place finish in the open fences, while senior Camille Cobb (Huntersville, N.C./Harding University), finished fourth in the walk-trot.  Sophomore Maia Robbins (Seattle, Wash./Lakeside School) contributed a fifth-place showing in the intermediate flat.
