W&L Men's Cross Country in Action at Oberlin

OBERLIN, Ohio – The Washington and Lee men's cross country team traveled to Oberlin College on Saturday to take part in the Oberlin Inter-Region Rumble and the Generals came away with a 24th-place finish out of 34 teams in what was a very competitive field. 

W&L's top runner on the day was senior Ryan Henner (Avondale Estates, Ga./Chamblee), who placed 87th out of 315 runners with a time of 27:26.5.

Sophomore Kane Thomas (Seattle, Wash./Shorewood) placed 112th in 27:39.2 and senior Matt Gossett (Atlanta, Ga./Wesleyan) added a 144th-place finish with a time 28:00.5.

Rounding out the Generals' top five runners were senior Robert Warneford-Thomson (Richmond, Va./Trinity Episcopal) (155th, 28:06.8) and first-year Michael Bronstein (Canton, Mass./Canton) (194th, 28:32.0).

W&L returns to action on October 29, when it competes in the ODAC Championships hosted by Lynchburg College beginning at 12:00 pm.
