Generals' Men's Cross Country Finishes 27th at Oberlin

OBERLIN, Ohio – The Washington and Lee men's cross country team competed in the Oberlin Inter-Region Rumble on Saturday afternoon, finishing in 27th place overall.

Junior Matt Gossett (Atlanta, Ga./Wesleyan School) was the Generals' top-finisher, taking 105th overall with a time of 26:35. Junior Robert Warneford-Thomson (Richmond, Va./Trinity Episcopal) finished in 132nd overall with a time of 27:14.
Sophomore Tyler Gehrs (Alexandria, Va./St. Andrews) ran a 27:36 to come in 152nd. Junior Ryan Henner (Avondale Estates, Ga./Chamblee) finished in 27:53 for a 169th-place finish and senior Rob George (Middletown, N.J./Middletown South) was W&L's final scoring runner, taking 170th place in 27:54.
The Generals return to action on Oct. 30, when they take part in the ODAC Championships hosted by Randolph College beginning at 12:00 pm.
