W&L Men's Cross Country in Action at Oberlin Inter-Regional
OBERLIN, Ohio -- The Washington and Lee men’s team took
part in the Oberlin Inter-Regional Rumble on Saturday afternoon and
finished 19th out of 28 teams.
W&L totaled 489 team points in the event, which was won by NYU
with 53 points.
Sophomore Robert Warneford-Thomson (Richmond, Va./Trinity
Episcopal) was the top W&L finisher as he logged a time of
26:35 in finishing in 74th place. First-year Harrison Tucker
(Richmond, Va./St. Christopher’s) was not far behind,
finishing in 78th place with a time of 26:39.
Junior Joe Stusek (Bozeman, Mont./Billings West) finished in 105th
with a time of 27:08, while sophomore Ryan Henner (Avondale
Estates, Ga./Chamblee) also recorded a time of 27:08 in finishing
106th overall. Senior Ben Stutts (Beverly Hills, Calif./Beverly
Hills) rounded out the Generals’ finishers with a mark of
27:22, good for 126th place.
W&L will take a week off before returning to action on October
31 in the ODAC Championships in Salem, Va. The Championship meet is
set to begin at 12:00 pm.
