W&L Men's Track and Field Opens Competition at VMI Winter Relays

LEXINGTON, Va. — The Washington and Lee men's track and field team was in action on Friday at the VMI Winter Relays, which featured Division I, II and III teams.  

Highlights From the Meet

  • Junior Drew Pranka (Princeton, Ill./Princeton) advanced to the semifinals of the 60m hurdles, finishing 15th. His fastest time came in the prelims at 8.70.  
  • First-year Daniel Kuntz (Minneapolis, Minn./Breck School) placed 11th in the triple jump with a mark of 12.41m (40'8.75").  
  • Sophomore Jimmie Johnson (Hoover, Ala./Hoover) notched a time of 7.45 in the 60m, and first-year Josh Breece (Lorton, Va./Stone Bridge) crossed the line in 7.79.
