W&L Men's Track & Field Competes at Camel City Invite

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. — The Washington and Lee men's track and field team sent a handful of athletes to the Camel City Invite at the JDL FastTrack on Friday.  

Highlights From the Meet

  • Senior MacKenzye Leroy (Port Jervis, N.Y./Port Jervis) led a trio of W&L runners in the mile. Leroy took 14th overall and was the top Division III finisher with a career-best time of 4:18.98. Junior Cooper Baird (Fort Worth, Texas/Fort Worth Country Day) was 25th (4:26.91), and junior Hank Patrick (Baton Rouge, La./University Laboratory School) claimed 37th with a personal-best time of 4:30.78.  
  • In the 3,000m, sophomore Austin Kinne (Bolingbrook, Ill./Neuqua Valley) placed 42nd with a time of 9:06.50.
