Sullivan Leads W&L Men's T&F on Day One of Carnival

LEXINGTON, Va. — The Washington and Lee men's track and field team hosted day one of the W&L Carnival on Friday at Wilson Field.

Senior Kevin Sullivan (Sandwich, Mass./Tabor) placed second in the javelin, but was the top collegiate thrower. He finished with a final mark of 57.68m (189'03.00").

The men's 4x400m relay also finished as the runner-up. The quartet of sophomore Charlie Zachariades (Chatham, N.J./Chatham), first-years Isidro Camacho (Brooklyn, N.Y./Xavier) and Jack Jones (Lookout Mountain, Ga./McCallie School) and senior Zander Tallman (Grand Blanc, Mich./Cranbrook-Kingswood) recorded a time of 3:19.02.

First-year Mac Strehler (Moseley, Va./Trinity Episcopal School) placed fourth in the 5,000m with a time of 15:14.49.

Day two of the carnival will continue on Saturday, starting at 10:00 am.
