Myers Leads W&L Men's T&F on Day One of ODAC's

LEXINGTON, Va. — Junior Dillon Myers (Foxborough, Mass./Foxborough) led the Washington and Lee men's track and field team on the first day of the 2013 ODAC Outdoor Track and Field Championship at Wilson Field on Friday. The Blue and White (26 points) are in fourth out of the eight teams. Lynchburg holds the top spot with 58 points, Bridgewater is second (44.66 points) and Guilford third (28 points).

Myers took second in the high jump and the long jump to pace the Generals. In the high jump his mark of 1.90m (6'02.75") earned him Second Team All-ODAC honors. He jumped 6.69m (21'11.50") in the long jump, which was just 0.01m off the first-place mark.

In the shot put, sophomore Eddie Barnes (Ashburn, Va./Broad Run) earned All-ODAC honors, taking third with a toss of 13.58m (44'06.75"). Junior Jordan Yost (Fairfax, Va./Fairfax) came in fourth in the hammer throw, finishing at 45.08m (147'10.00").

The second and final day of the competition will take place on Saturday, starting at 10:00 am.
