W&L Men's T&F Completes Day One of W&L Carnival
LEXINGTON, Va. — The Washington and Lee men's track and field team hosted day one of the W&L Carnival on Friday at Wilson Field, and two fourth-place finishes highlighted the day for the Generals.
The 4x400m relay placed fourth out of 24 teams with a time of 3:22.36. The group consisted of juniors Parker Howard (Naperville, Ill./Nequea Valley), Dillon Myers (Foxborough, Mass./Foxborough), Kane Thomas (Seattle, Wash./Shorewood) and Zander Tallman (Grand Blanc, Mich./Cranbrook-Kingswood).
In the javelin, senior Dylan Mills (Mobile, Ala./St. Paul's) took fourth with a throw of 57.94m (190-01.00") and sophomore Eddie Barnes (Ashburn, Va./Broad Run) claimed seventh at 51.86m (170'02.00").
Junior Jonathan Sells (Brandon, Fla./C. Leon King) finished 10th in the long jump with a mark of 6.08m (19'11.50").
The Carnival is comprised of over 20 teams and 2,000 athletes, and will conclude on Saturday.
