LEXINGTON, Va. -- The Washington and Lee men's track and field team took part in day one of the two-day W&L-VMI Track Carnival on Friday at Wilson Field.
Highlighting the day's finishers for W&L was the 4x400m relay team of sophomores Mac Keers (Wilton, Conn./Wilton) and Parker Howard (Naperville, Ill./Nequea Valley), junior Steven Colliau (South Pasadena, Calif./South Pasadena) and sophomore Zander Tallman (Grand Blanc, Mich./Cranbrook Kingswood). The quartet finished first among Div. III teams and third overall with a time of 3:21.14, including a 46.75 split on the anchor leg by Tallman.
Sophomore Dillon Myers (Foxborough, Mass./Foxborough) sits second in the decathlon after day one with a total of 3,357 points. He posted times of 11.55 in the 100m, 49.85 in the 400m, while clearing 1.86 meters in the high jump and recording a distance of 6.33 meters in the long jump. Finally, he posted a mark of 9.49 meters in the shot put.
Washington and Lee will wrap up day two of the meet on Saturday at 8:00 am over at VMI.
