LYNCHBURG, Va. -- The Washington and Lee men's track & field team began competition in the two-day Lynchburg Open & Multi's as sophomore Dillon Myers (Foxborough, Mass./Foxborough) took part in the first day of the heptathlon.
Myers, competing in the event for just the second time, showed improved marks across the board in the first four disciplines of the event.
He posted a time of 7.35 in the 60m, jumped 5.98m in the long jump, cleared 1.76m in the high jump and recorded a distance of 9.21m in the shot put.
His ranking among the 22 competitors (three Division III) was not immediately available.
The full team will take to the track and Myers will wrap up competition on day two beginning at 2:00 pm.
