Generals' Men's Track Team Competes at Liberty Twilight
LYNCHBURG, Va. -- The Washington and Lee men's track & field team had a pair of athletes competing in the Liberty Twilight Meet on Thursday afternoon in an effort to secure bids to the NCAA Division III Championships.
Sophomore Dylan Mills (Mobile, Ala./St. Paul's), who is currently 13th in the country in the javelin throw with a previous toss of 60.99 meters, finished third overall and first among Div. III athletes with a heave of 58.60 meters.
First-year Kevin Sullivan (Sandwich, Mass./Tabor) was right on Mills' heels, finishing fifth overall and second among Div. III competitors with a mark of 53.20 meters.
The Generals return to action on Tuesday at the Deacon Combined Events hosted by Wake Forest.
