W&L Men's T&F In Action at Dickinson DuCharme Invitational

CARLISLE, Pa. – The Washington and Lee men's track & field team took part in the Dickinson DuCharme Invitational and came away with eight Top 10 finishes on Saturday afternoon.

First-year Kane Thomas (Seattle, Wash./Shorewood) was one of two Generals to record a second-place finish, as he recorded a time of 4:33.69 in the mile. Junior Matt Gossett (Atlanta, Ga./Wesleyan) recorded the other runner-up finish, covering the 800m in 1:59.07.
Junior Tyler Grant (Suwanee, Ga./South Forsyth) took third in the 55m hurdles with a time of 8.39 and the Generals received sixth-place finishes from first-years Dillon Myers (Foxborough, Mass./Foxborough) David Fishman (Westfield, N.J./Westfield). Myers recorded a distance of 11.94m in the triple jump and Fishman cleared 12'6" in the pole vault.
W&L returns to action on Friday when it takes part in the ODAC Championships at Liberty University. The championship meet is slated to begin at 1:00 pm.
