LEXINGTON, Va. – The Washington and Lee men's indoor track team was in action at the VMI Winter Relays on Saturday at the Cormack Field House.
The meet featured teams from Division I, II and III, with the men recording two first place and four additional Top-5 finishes amongst the D-III competitors.
Leading the way was first-year Cole Glasgow (Dallas, Texas/Jesuit College Prep), who took the top spot in the 55 meter dash in a time of 6.69 seconds, while senior David Doobin (Summit, N.J./Newark Academy) recorded a distance of 1.88 meters in the high jump en route to claiming a first-place finish.
Other Top-5 finishers for the Generals included first-year Dillon Myers (Foxborough, Mass./Foxborough) taking second in the high jump (1.78m) and third in the triple jump (12.48m), junior Tyler Grant (Suwanee, Ga./South Forsyth) with a third-place performance in the 55 meter hurdles (8.45s) and first-year Kane Thomas (Seattle, Wash./Shorewood) finishing in a time of 2:04.40 in the 800 meter run, good for third place.
W&L returns to action on Friday as they travel to the Lafayette/Rider Winter Games at the New York City Armory.
