W&L Men's T&F Defeats Roanoke College, 76.50-42.50

LEXINGTON, Va. – Washington and Lee's men's track & field team defeated Roanoke College, 76.50-42.50, on Saturday afternoon at Virginia Military Institute.

The Generals earned nine individual event wins to go with one relay victory en route to the win.
The combination of junior Tyler Grant (Suwanee, Ga./South Forsyth), first-years Zander Tallman (Grand Blanc, Mich./Cranbrook-Kingswod) and Mac Keers (Wilton, Conn./Wilton) and sophomore Steven Colliau (South Pasadena, Calif./South Pasadena) won the 4x400m relay with a mark of 3:36.39.
Grant also posted a win in the 55m hurdles (8.45), Tallman captured the 500m (1:07.24) and Colliau won the 300m dash in 37.93. 

First-year Cole Glasgow (Dallas, Texas/Jesuit College Prep) won two events, taking the long jump with a leap of 6.13m and 55m dash in 6.71. Junior Matt Gossett (Atlanta, Ga./Wesleyan) won the 1000m (2:39.66) and first-year David Fishman (Westfield, N.J./Westfield) was victorious in the pole vault with a height of 3.65m.
Senior David Doobin (Summit N.J./Newark Academy) won the high jump with a mark of 1.78m and he was the only competitor in the triple jump, winning the event with a distance of 11.77m.
W&L returns to action on Saturday when it takes part in the Liberty Open & Multi's beginning at 8:30 am.
