
Washington and Lee University held its annual Athletic Awards Ceremony on Tuesday, May 15 at Lee Chapel. Headlining the award winners were senior soccer player Kat Lawson (White Post, Va./Clarke County) and senior football player Charlie Westfal (New Canaan, Conn./New Canaan), who were selected as the “Pres” Brown Outstanding Senior Female and Male Athletes of the Year as voted on by members of the department.

The 20th-ranked Washington and Lee men’s tennis team saw its season come to an end with a 5-0 loss to second-ranked Emory University on Saturday afternoon.

The 20th-ranked Washington and Lee men’s tennis team recovered from a 3-0 hole following doubles play to record a 5-3 victory over the University of Texas-Tyler in the first round of the NCAA Division III Tournament on Friday afternoon at Emory University.

The Old Dominion Athletic Conference has announced that Washington and Lee University has claimed the Dan Wooldridge Overall Sports Champion Cup for the ninth-straight year.
