SWARTHMORE, Pa. -- The Washington and Lee men's tennis team dropped a close 5-4 decision to 18th-ranked Johns Hopkins on Sunday in a match played at Swarthmore College.
The Blue Jays took a 2-1 lead after doubles and each team won three of the singles matches to produce the final result.
With the loss, W&L slipped to 3-2 overall for the season. Johns Hopkins improved to 2-1 with the win.
Washington and Lee returns to action on Saturday when it hosts 16th-ranked Mary Washington for a 2:00 pm match.
