INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – The National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) has announced its field for the 2014 Division III Men's Tennis Tournament and Washington and Lee was selected as one of eight host sites for the first, second and third rounds.
The Generals (17-4) will play host to Catholic (11-6), Franciscan (10-9), North Carolina Wesleyan (12-8), Kenyon (18-7) and Emory (17-6) for matches on Friday-Sunday.
In first round matches on Friday, N.C. Wesleyan will play Franciscan at 10:00 am and W&L will play Catholic at 2:00 pm. Emory will play the victor of the NCWC-FU match on Saturday at 10:00 am and Kenyon will play the winner of the W&L-CUA match at 2:00 pm.
The third round match will be on Sunday at 12:00 pm.
Washington and Lee received an automatic bid by winning the Old Dominion Athletic Conference title. Catholic won the Landmark Conference and Franciscan won the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference title. Kenyon claimed the North Coast Athletic Conference Championship and Emory received a Pool "C" bid from the University Athletic Association.
