LEXINGTON, Va. -- The 22nd-ranked Washington and Lee men's tennis team registered a 5-2 victory over Bridgewater on Thursday afternoon at the Bridgewater Courts.
The Eagles took two of the three doubles matches to carry a 2-1 lead into singles action. However, the Generals claimed each of the top four singles matches in straight sets and Nos. 5-6 singles were left unfinished as W&L walked away with the win.
W&L improved to 11-2 overall and 9-0 in the ODAC, while Bridgewater fell to 6-7 overall and 2-1 in conference play.
Washington and Lee returns to action on Saturday when it travels to 11th-ranked Carnegie Mellon for an 10:00 am match.
