W&L's White Falls in NCAA Singles Competition
CARY, N.C. – Washington and Lee junior Hayden White (Baltimore, Md./Towson) began competition in the NCAA Division III Men's Singles Championship on Thursday at the Cary Tennis Park.
White fell in the opening round to Denison senior Tom Cawood by a score of 7-6, 3-6, 6-4. Cawood advances to the round of 16 where he will meet Felix Sun of Williams.
With the loss, White completed his junior season with a 16-8 singles record and a 13-8 doubles mark.
