INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – Junior Wayde Marsh (Milford, Del./Salesianum) was the lone competitor for the Washington and Lee men's swimming team on day three of the NCAA Division III Swimming Championships on Friday morning, held at the IU Natatorium on the campus of IUPUI.
Marsh took part in the 100 back, recording a time of 52.98 seconds. His time was not among the top 16 competitors and did not advance him to Friday evening's final.
Senior Robert Barry of Denison posted the fastest time in the prelims, clocking in at 47.77 seconds.
Heading into this evening's finals, W&L sits 10th in the team standings with 51.5 points. Denison leads the pack with 290 points, and Kenyon (287), Emory (198), MIT (140) and Redlands (122.5) round out the top five.
The Generals return to action on Saturday for the final day of the NCAA Swimming Championships, with preliminary rounds set to begin at 10:00 am.
