W&L's Washnock at Day Two of NCAA Championships
MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. -- Washington and Lee sophomore swimmer Chris
Washnock (Greer, S.C./Greenville) competed on day two of the NCAA
Division III National Championships at the University of
Minnesota-Twin Cities on Thursday.
Washnock recorded a time of 4:03.43 and finished 17th in the
preliminary round of the 400 IM event. His time,
however, did not qualify him for the finals that were held on
Thursday evening.
Washnock will swim in one more event during the championships,
taking part in the 200 back on Saturday. Prelims are slated to
begin at 11:00 am.
